I Love the Dollar Store Part 2

Here is a list of items I’ve purchased that have been very useful for my classroom:

  • Flashcards (multiplication and division) - I keep a few sets of these at each group, so when a student finishes his work early, he can quiz himself.
  • Play-doh - great for helping the kids learn their vocab words.  They can also play with it during Privilege Time (see my blog about Privilege Time).
  • Activity & Coloring Books - another great tool for Privilege Time
  • Funky Glasses - because the kids get a kick when you look ridiculous
  • Dice & Spinners - I use these in a lot of centers I create
  • Fake Microphones - bust one of these out, and the kids are excited to participate and answer questions using “Mikey”

Happy shopping.  I’m off to find myself a sponsor ;)
