The New York Times wrote a compelling article on how Michelle Rhee, the former chancellor of the Washington public schools, refuses to speak with reporters from USA Today after they unearthed evidence that there may have been cheating on standardized tests while Rhee was in charge.
She says that the intense pressure put on educators to raised test scores is necessary to demand excellence ... but is the pressure too much? Does it create situations where cheating seems to be the only way to survive?
