You are welcome to provide suggestions of best practices, present research, journal articles, lesson plans, recommend books, or ask questions of fellow group members. Through our discussions, you may build new friendships and a network of colleagues. This is not a private group so you may invite anyone else interested in the discussion of English Language Learners.

Gifted and Talented Group In the Gifted and Talented (GATE) Group we will discuss issues that relate to our gifted and talented students and their families. There will be two questions to focus on weekly and you can respond to as many questions or posts that you want to.

Language Arts Group Rather than sweeping the entire range of language arts instruction, this group will be driven by thought-provoking ideas that lead to engaging instruction. You can recommend books to teach a certain language art skill (or just for fun!), refer to lesson plans, journal articles, online resources or anything else you wish in the world of language arts. I hope you and I will find new friends and colleagues and I know we will strengthen education through our efforts. This is not a private group so you may invite anyone else teaching language arts that you wish.

Common Core Standards Our Common Core State Standards Community Group will participate in discussions, share lesson plans/resources with educators .  Our goal is to take a "deep dive" into the new Commom Core State Standards and explore ways that will support educators  with the knowledge needed to prepare their students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a rapidily changing world.
