2, 3, 4, 5 Students will learn about Molly Brown's life and voyage on the Titanic through a read-aloud and discussion. They will then work in pairs to create boats out of tinfoil. Students will be challenged to build a boat that will not only float but will also hold weight (pennies, which can be thought of as passengers!). Once all boats have been tested, the amount of pennies held by each boat will be used to create a bar graph for students to analyze. |
